This station is an experience.
The pathway to the outbound platform is very cramped - though the waiting area's nice (it also has an incredibly old Elkay - cool!).The platform's also under some sort of construction - these doors are blocked off.
Getting to/from the outbound platform is not easy, either. You get to it via these stairs which dumps you into another (very damp) sublevel of this station.
And once you make it to the middle platform, it's also under construction! Half of platform 3 is fenced off for some reason.
Getting to the best part of Van Buren Street isn't easy, either! You just go through these unmarked doors, and...
The Paris Metro entrance! I'm sad Metra isn't planning to reuse it once they finish renovating/rebuilding this station (though they are preserving it...)
